Denny Hamlin's blown tire toward the end of last weekend's race at Richmond cost The News-Gazette's Jason Randall his fourth win of the season. As it stands, Randall is 3-7 on the season heading into tonight's race at the repaved Darlington Raceway:

"There are a few guys who stand out after Friday's practices and qualifying, but I like Jimmie Johnson to collect his second win of the year tonight in South Carolina, and it doesn't matter that he's using a backup car.
"Johnson is a two-time winner at the track and hasn't finished outside the top seven in the last six races there.
"There's not a better team in NASCAR, and that backup No. 48 Lowe's Chevy qualified third on Friday.
"Greg Biffle and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be fast and so should guys like Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch and even Jeff Gordon. But it is Johnson who will be out front when it matters most tonight at the always-tough-to-tame 'Lady in Black.' "
