All Jacked Up
Some really random thoughts

I was out of town last weekend, so I had to record the Indianapolis 500 and Coca-Cola 600. I just (finally) finished watching both races and it left me with several things to think about:- When Danica Patrick has some misfortune on the track, why does she always stomp around and want to fight someone? Seriously, grow up. If every driver in the world threw a tantrum like she does every time there's a racing incident, it would be called pro wrestling. Hey Danica, you got hit in the pits by a rookie. That happens. Have you ever done anything stupid on the track? No need to answer that, we already know. Why don't you act like a professional for once.
- Sticking with the Indy 500, those Ganassi cars were ridiculous. And how about the start of the race? Ganassi teammates Scott Dixon and Dan Wheldon were putting on a show early. That was a fun way to get things going. Entertaining stuff.
- Speaking of entertaining, there was a lot of good passing and overall good racing at Indianapolis, something you can't always say. I thought it was a good race, and thankfully there was good weather.
- On to NASCAR, I know a lot of folks were happy to see Kasey Kahne win the Coca-Cola 600. I personally didn't think he was going to do it after winning the All-Star race, but sure enough. That's a big win for Kahne. I just wonder how he'd do with good equipment.
- I thought Tony Stewart had the most impressive day at Lowe's on Sunday night. He started something like 31st and was contending near the end. Carl Edwards was another guy who started deep and raced his way toward the front. That's no surprise though, given his performance on the intermediates this season.
- Some things to watch this weekend: 18-year-old Joey Logano makes his debut in the Nationwide Series on Saturday. Driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, Logano has been making national headlines at least since he was 15. Since turning 18 he now is eligible to run in NASCAR's national series, and he'll be in Cup next season if Tony Stewart moves on to co-own a team. Logano is the real deal and the next great driver. Think of him as the LeBron James of racing. Coming right out of high school, he's a future champion.
- We'll be talking NASCAR tonight (Thursday) on WDWS 1400-AM at about 6:10 p.m. Have any questions or comments? Don't hesitate to call in, we'd love to hear from you. The call-in number is 217-356-9397.
Until next time, keep hittin' your marks!

You have to remember when you are the Queen you can act in such as way..she could come to reality..she's been around long enough to know things happen.
I for one was very happy to see Kasey win the race. I was also happy to see one of my all time favorite drivers back on the track. Sterling Marlin. Yes I know he is old and hasn't been doing well at all but it is still good to see the veterans hang in there. I was surprised to see him back in the #40 car for Ganassi.
Who do you like for Dover?
