Sprint Cup power rankings

Here's my weekly Sprint Cup power rankings with last week's ranking in parentheses:

1. Jimmie Johnson (3). Talladega can be a nightmare for anyone, but
it sure looks like three Cups in a row is on the horizon.

2. Carl Edwards (1). Made a heck of a move to try to pass Johnson on the
last lap at Kansas. That was good stuff.

3. Greg Biffle (2). What is with this guy? Win-win-third in the first
three Chase races is amazing.

4. Jeff Burton (4). There’s nothing you can say about Burton other than
he’s always around the front and always races clean.

5. Jeff Gordon (—). He jumped two spots in the standings after Kansas and
is feeling good about his chances at Talladega.
