Gov. Rod Blagojevich's latest campaign disclosure report shows not a penny raised since his Dec. 9 arrest by federal agents in Chicago.
And his fund collected just $705,352 between July 1 and Dec. 31, significantly less than usual for Friends of Blagojevich, and less even than Attorney General Lisa Madigan, who could become Illinois' governor in 2010.
She has $3.5 million in her campaign treasury, more than the $2.6 million in Blagojevich's dwindling account. Blagojevich's fund has recorded a net loss of about a milion dollars since July 1. Many of his expenditures are for legal expenses.
