How do you call a guy who's been beating around the bushes of state government for more than 30 years a "political opportunist"?

Next time the News Gazette questions why Republicans can't mount a successful opposition to Democrats in this state, remember that quote. Of course, it would be a lot easier for Republicans if they could just "redistrict" Chicago into Wisconsin.
