Columnist returns to N-G's pages

After a two-month absence, advice columnist Carolyn Hax is returning to The News-Gazette on Monday. Her column ran weekly in E3 magazine on Thursdays, and we canceled it when we decided to make some changes in the magazine.

We've had a steady stream of callers, e-mailers and letter writers who said they enjoyed her column and wanted it back in the paper. As I wrote recently, we decided we'd restore the column, but we needed to find a home for it in the paper.

Hax fans should enjoy this. Instead of running the column once a week in E3 magazine, we're going to run it Monday through Saturday as part of the mix on our entertainment and comics pages. Thanks to all who let us know they missed her.

To make room for the column, we'll make some changes in our comics lineup based on the Last Comic Standing survey we conducted last summer and fall. More about that later.
