-Tyler Albright, one of the cast members of the touring production of the Tony Award winning musical, "Chicago," which will be appearing at the University of Illinois' Star Theatre on October 11 as part of the News-Gazette Broadway Series.

-News-Gazette film reviewer Richard Leskosky will preview the 1986 film "2001: A Space Odyssey," the latest film in the News-Gazette Film Series which will be shown October 10 at the Virginia Theatre.

-Dr. Chris McKay, planetary scientist with the Space Division of NASA Ames Research Center on the upcoming National Geographic Channel special "Giant Crystal Caves" premiering Sunday, October 12 at 8 p.m. Hidden over 900 feet beneath the surface of the Earth is one of the greatest natural marvels on the planet: a giant crystal cave which was discovered by miners in November 2000 in a small desert town in Mexico. The crystals in the cave range from 36 feet long and 55 tons or as high as telephone poles and a hundred times as heavy!
