UPCOMING SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS

Had an absolute terrific time speaking at the Kiwanis Club of Champaign-Urbana the end of August. It was nice being asked back so soon after my previous invitation. What a great group of men and women, with some terrific questions and flattering comments afterwards. Always enjoy sharing stories of some of my favorite guests over these 1300+ shows now. Thanks to all!

Coming up soon is the Big Brother Big Sister "Chocolate Extravaganza" fundraiser at the Holiday Inn in Urbana. Lite Rock 97.5's Mary Jacobs will emcee the events and my son Justin and I have been asked to speak at the event. Justin and I met the first week of May 2000 when I was assigned Justin's 'big.' Our first outing was Dog and Suds for hot dogs and frosted mug root beers on a tray on the window of our car and then a trip to Wal-Mart to get baseball cards for the both of us to collect and trade. That night was not only memorable because that was the first time we met, but also because once we got to Wal-Mart there was a tornado warning and we all had to gather at the center of the store. To hear the rest of the story, come to the fundraiser on September 18! As it turns out we had such an incredible bond, we ended up getting adopted on December 23, 2002 and both of our lives were changed forever. It will be fun to tell our story at the "Chocolate Extravaganza" September 18.
Also looking forward to speaking to the Lion's Club of Savoy on September 23. I'll discuss what it takes to book 60 - 80 guests each month, some behind the scenes stories and some anecdotes concerning some of my best known guests.
