Big Ten Volleyball

Loane on the Loose here. Still vacationing. In Chicago right now. Had a chance to chat with the folks at the Big Ten Network , and have been informed that they plan to use me little, if at all for the upcoming volleyball package. Disappointing to me, as I have served as a host for conference volleyball telecasts for the past 11 years. Especially disappointing because the conference is going to be SO good this year. We have the defending national champs, Penn State. Minnesota and Wisconsin are always good. Purdue continues to be an up-and-comer. Michigan should once again make the NCAA tournament. Michigan State will contend. Indiana has improved vastly. Ohio State has a new coaching staff. Northwestern is always tough to beat in Evanston.

As for Don Hardin's Fighting Illini, the future's so bright I gotta wear shades. An outstanding sophomore class is now a year older. Both setters are strong. Looks like we've got a stud coming in the middle, and hopefully Kayani Turner will play once again.
