Congratulations to Illini golf coach Mike Small on winning at Medinah. Proving he owns the Illinois PGA Championship tournament. And giving me an excuse to ask HQ Nation a golf question.
Why did Sergio get a drop on his third shot of the second playoff hole with VJ on sunday. The announcers said "abnormal ground". Sounds like a good name for a band. Or maybe my own personal blend of Columbia Street Roastery coffee (Gentry has one named for him).

Garcia's lie looked O.K. to me. Was it a stance issue? Could it have been a gopher hole? That would be too perfect. Varmint!
Please explain the ruling.
