As the basketball season comes to a close, I still feel that Bruce Weber's team overachieved this year.  Help is on the way, with Illinois' Mr. basketball, and the NG Player of the year headed to Champaign.  Here's hoping Tisdale and Davis get stronger.  And McCamey gets smarter.

Help is also on the way for Jenna Smith, and Lacey Simpson, and the Illinois womens basketball team, with the #3 recruting class in the country.  Coach Law's team must finish better in the Big Ten standings in 2009-10.

Congratulations to Coach Bob Starkell's womens gymnastics team on making the NCAAs.

Congratulations to Yoshi Hayasaki on his 6th Big Ten Champioship.

Belated congrats to Mark Johnson.  The new YMCA is in good, and STRONG hands!

Mike Smalls golf team will be the monsters of the Big Ten.

And Illinois baseball remains in first place in the confrence standings.  Playing games gets results.  Illinois hosts Bradley tomorrow, and is at Michigan (huge series) this weekend.  All games on WDWS.  Former Illini Mike Rohde did a heck of a job as anyalist this past Saturday.
