Tuscola and Galena have both taken the field here at Memorial Stadium.

- Galena definitely has the edge as far as numbers go, but I think they have all their freshmen dressed, too.
- Matt Bailey, a two-way started at wideout and cornerback is in uniform for the Warriors and appears to be moving around pretty well. Bailey missed much of the season with a broken collar bone and missed last week's game against Arcola with a sprained knee.
- Clayton Meyer just kicked a 35-yard field goal. Don't be surprised to see the straight-on kicker boot a couple of field goals through today.
- John Wienke and the receivers are working on routes, and the Michigan recruit is putting everything on the money. He might best last year's state title performance where he threw for 383 yards and four touchdowns.
- The folks here covering Galena are excited to see Tuscola play. Apparently the people up north have been talking about the Warriors all season. The two reporters here to cover Galena both picked Tuscola to win, as did I.
- That's all from here. Be sure to grab the afternoon edition of The News-Gazette. We'll have a short story about today's game if it's over in time. And for those of you in Tuscola, if the Warriors win, we'll have copies of The News-Gazette in Douglas County tonight for the pep rally.
Enjoy the game
MJ
