Pogue will replace Tom Shallenberger who stepped down last month to become the principal at Fisher.
Pogue has taught social studies at M-S for the last nine years and has served as the boys' track and field coach for the last seven. He was an assistant under Shallenberger for 12 of the last 13 years.
