MJ: Is today like Christmas Eve for you with practice set to begin tomorrow?
RR: Yeah it is, I haven't really done anything in a while but I think I'm just going to hang out with my friends tonight. I don't know if we're going to do anything really. Maybe just play some video games. Nintendo Wii is pretty hot riht now.

MJ: What games are you playing for that right now?
RR: I'm playing "Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles". It's a pretty B.A. game.

MJ: Are you one of the better video game players on your team?
RR: Probably, I don't really have a life. I lift (weights) and just play video games really.

MJ: Is that something to be proud of?
RR: Probably not.

MJ: Last year your coach, Chad Musselman, said every time he looked at you, he would just start laughing. Does he still laugh at you?
RR: Yeah, even though my hair isn't as long. I actually have a picture and I was so tiny and my hair was bigger than I was. I looked like a mop. It was bad.

MJ: You seem to always be smiling. What are you so happy about?
RR: I rally have nothing to complain about. My grades are good, my home life is good, I have good friends so there isn't anything to really complain about.

MJ: When two-a-days start, what do you guys during your downtime in between practices?
RR: I think we're probably going to go to coach's house, me and Jacob (Palmer) our other captain and probably just watch game film and drink a lot of water because I know we're going to do nothing but run.

MJ: What are your expectations for this season?
RR: A lot better than last season is about all I can say because I know we're going to be a lot better than we were last year.

MJ: What about you personally? What are your goals?
RR: I've gained 15 pounds since last year and got faster so I'm looking to at least break 2,000 yards hopefully.

MJ: How are things looking for you on the college front?
RR: North Central in Naperville has been sending me letters so I've been thinking about them and Augustana.

MJ: You're not the biggest guy on the field, but you seem to always seek out contact. What's the deal with that?
RR: I don't know why. I love hitting. It's the only place I can do it and not get in trouble, so I try to take advantage of that. I remember last year after the Arthur game I woke up and like 4 or 5 in the morning and my whole body was cramping. It was bad.
