Not a peep

Ok, I go through all the trouble of inventing a once-in-a-lifetime game (drinking or not) opportunity and the commentators cannot manage one single peep about Michelle Kwan. I can't believe it. They must have increased Dick Button's medication or something. It turns out there is still no answer the age-old question, "What would Brian Boitano do?" In his blog on the ladies short program, he does imply that he would NOT "psych out" his competitors by bragging in the dressing room. He will not, however, venture a prediction on the outcome of the ladies final Thursday night.
I haven't quite mastered the intricacies of the new scoring system yet, so I'm not sure if a tie is possible. I think it is, though. And I want Sasha and Irina to tie. It's the only adequately happy outcome.
Speaking of outcomes, in case you want to know, NBC more or less covers the skating events live online. The short program had the scores and placements updated after each skater and a near-real-time blog by Sale and Pelletier commenting on each program. I'm not recommending that anyone look or not look before they get to watch the event on TV. I'm just letting you know.
