Best new show I'll never watch

"Honey, we're killing the kids," premiered the day I downgraded to basic cable, so I'll never get to see it. Not that I would ever watch reality TV to start with. Not that I watch TV much anyway, which is why I decided to stop paying for something I don't use.It does sound interesting though. A nutritionist visits a family with fat or potentially fat kids and starts by showing the parents, through computer imaging, what their kids will look like at 40 if they continue on their current trajectory. Then the nutritionist spends 3 weeks setting "rules" about eating, exercise and "family bonding." At the end of the show, the parents get to see a new computer-generated image of what the kids will look like at 40 if they follow the new rules.
We (my daughter and I) have a pretty healthy lifestyle, although not always for the "right" reasons. Take pop, for example. I love that stuff (full sugar, not diet), but we do not have it at our house, because the thought of my, ahem, "energetic" daughter revved up with sugar and caffeine makes me cringe. I believe that if I added 12 oz. of a caffeinated beverage to her, she would actually, physically, explode. It turns out that pop is an acquired taste, anyway. The rare times she has it (non-caffeinated), she doesn't care for it. Yippee!
So we are not eligible for this show. Now if only I can dissuade my mom from trying to have me featured on "What Not to Wear."
