The newest member of the Flexible Flyer fan club made her debut Sunday morning at Centennial Park. Finally.



I am normally a big fan of sleeping in whenever possible, but a deliriously excited child who has been waiting almost 13 months to try out the sleds she received last Christmas is pretty compelling. So off we went, with me fully aware that I could be excommunicated from my Western New York roots by sledding with the tops of the grass still visible. (Where I come from 2" of snow would be a "trace.")

My daughter does also have a modern plastic sled, but once she took a trip down the hill on the Flexible Flyer, she was hooked. By the end of the morning, she could have written and starred in an ad for the company, assuming she didn't burst from happiness and excitement first.

This was one of those days that makes parenting so completely worth it.
