Naomi Arnette is still missing

Naomi Arnette is still missing. And seven kids are still missing their mom, who disappeared from Sadorus in May.

I received a note about the case recently, including a link to a 50+page discussion on a CourtTV message board.

I was going to try to do a brief summary of the case, but then I started reading the discussion. Uh, never mind about the summary. I'm willing to write a summary, not a dissertation. It's an interesting read, if you have that kind of time.

On page one of the discussion, a poster who is allegedly Arnette's husband - the last person to see her alive - began posting. (His posts use the name "Deedrick.") Farther down the same page, Naomi's sister-in-law (the estranged husband's sister) jumps into the fray, posting as "Angroy." She is taking care of the 7 kids, as she was well before Naomi disappeared, which is a separate very long story. A friend of Naomi's boyfriend adds his two cents worth (he is "4therecord") and various townies and amateur sleuths chime in.

The recent news is that it seems that Texas Equusearch is scheduled to search for her in September, and new billboards have been donated in an effort to get someone who knows something to do the right thing.

In the unfortunate hierarchy of missing people, Naomi doesn't rate too high - she's not a child, rich, blonde or famous.

But in the eyes of her kids, she is undoubtedly the most important person on earth, and they do not deserve to live their lives wondering what happened to her.
