New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer was a media star. Maybe that's one of the problems.
Wall Street Journal reporter Kim Strassel has some thoughts on this issue.

EX Gov. Spitzer was a "media star" because as a prosecuter, he destroyed the business people the (Lib/socio-commie) media despised. He did not do it through legal means, he used intimidation and allegations through the press in such a way he did not have to go to trial.

In her column, Ms. Strassel explains his meathod well:

"Mr. Spitzer's main offense as a prosecutor is that he violated the basic rules of fairness and due process: Innocent until proven guilty; the right to your day in court. The Spitzer method was to target public companies and officials, leak allegations and out-of-context emails to a compliant press, watch the stock price fall, threaten a corporate indictment (a death sentence), and then move in for a quick settlement kill. There was rarely a trial, fair or unfair, involved."

It is a shame, BillD, that you don't see the same tactics are being used to try to remove from office the two people you are waiting to resign, Senators Larry Craig and David Vitter. Sen. Craig is targeted because he has voted against pro-gay legislation and is a family values Senator. What better way to SMEAR him than to accuse him of soliciting homosexual acts? He has denied it and it is his perogative to stay in office and fight the injustice of the entrapment. As far as David Vitter, was he prosecuting prostitution "rings" as was Spitzer?, I think not.

The CRIMINAL I would like to see resign and sent to prison is Rep. William J. Jefferson, DemocRAT from Louisiana, for the CORRUPTION he has manipulated while in office, bribing foreign officers and taking bribes from businessmen wanting to "do business" through him in Africa.
