Junior guard Lori Bjork said Friday night she had "no idea" where she'll end up after deciding to leave Illinois. She declined to answer questions about her decision but released a statement.

"I've appreciated the opportunity to play basketball at Illinois and receive my degree in three years from this outstanding university," Bjork said. "I have always done my best to represent this university in a first-class manner, and I think my actions both on the court and in the classroom reflect that. My passion for basketball and my willingness to work hard have never wavered, but I have decided to use my last year of basketball eligibility in graduate school at another institution. I have no idea where I will be next year, but I leave Illinois feeling extremely grateful for the fans and the many members of the community and Illinois support staff I have had the pleasure of working with. I also want to thank my teammates for their friendship and support."

What a classy young lady Bjork is...we can only wish her the very best.

She didn't make cheap shots in the newspaper like coach law or try to make excuses for why the team didn't perform as well as they could have.

If Bjork was the coach and not Law, Illinois would have made the NCAA's for sure!

Lori, we will definitely miss you. Illinois won't have a single decent shooter next year, and then coach law will realize how much you opened things up for smith on the inside.

all the best, fellow baller. I hope you can play against illinois and score 30 on them when you do!

The players have to conform to the coach, not the other way around. While Ms. Bjork has the right to decide that Illinois is not the place for her, let's not lose perspective on the situation.

Lori indeed handle herself appropriately. I think she tried to conform to the coach all this past year but the coach wouldn't even think of using her any differently. As a coach you must adapt sometimes your style and your coaching to the players that you have. If Lori had not stayed with it the whole year I hate to think where the Illini would have been all year long. Coach Law shame on you for making your comments in regards to Lori. Why the need to say anything at all when she was not pointing fingers at you or anyone else on the team in a negative light? I hope we can expect a classier act with you in the future.
