Whatever you may have heard about high schools, the majority of it is probably false, a generalization, or a rumor. Try and think back (however far that might be) and remember your high school years. If you can't, that's alright, most people can't either. That's why I'm here. I'm a senior at Centennial High School in Champaign, and very interested in writing (obviously). I am a Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Centinal newspaper (for Centennial), and I am currently interning with the online department of The News-Gazette.

It was decided that teenagers don't get their opinion out enough, so I decided to write a blog, telling about life through a high school students eyes. Subjects that I'm really passionate about are the environment in schools today, what the government is trying to do with education in US schools compared to the rest of the world, sex education, and whatever else happens to strike my fancy.

interning:
To confine, especially in wartime.
Good luck with that ;-)
