What you want from the Minnesota game

Well, the football sky looks a lot brighter now after the Michigan game, doesn't it?

1. Keep rolling on offense. Illini had things really clicking in the last game against Michigan, got to keep it going.

2. Don't give them hope. Put this pointout every time, I feel the Illini are more talented than a lot of the teams on their schedule, such as Minny. Less talented teams need every edge they can get, so take away their confidence early. Took awhile for this to happen at Michigan.

3. Continue the kickoff coverage. Hopefully the Illini have plenty of kickoffs to cover again. Punts have been ok. Would be nice to break a return.

4. No turnovers. See #2 above. If you don't make mistakes, the other team has nothing to capitalize on.

5. Squash the run. Minny's top RB is out for the season, looks like. If the Illini can keep the Gophers one-dimensional, it'll be easier to keep them out of the end zone.

6. Help out the cover-2. Too many times the safeties are getting beat on that second level of pass defense. There needs to be a big rush, and there needs to be plenty of help from the safeties.

Overall, this shouldn't be a big problem for the Illini. Don't prove me wrong, gentlemen!

Illinois wins 45-17.
