*Not going to pick for the Illini or against them for the rest of the season as I've been wrong almost every time. I'm glad I was wrong about last week, and it was a solid defensive effort that won the football game for them. That being said, the season will be a disaster should they fall in this ill-scheduled game against Western Michigan.

*The WDWS 'Bonus Basketball' schedule is starting to shape up, we'll keep you updated on the list here on the HQ.

*Jeremy Werner will be on Sportsnight with me next Wednesday, the first day of the signing period, to talk recruiting, call up with your questions.

*One wonders what really happened in the Cumberland-Leshoure incident and I can only hope that it's as minor as the coaching staff has let on. A broken jaw doesn't seem too minor.

*I know it's not a varsity sport, but it's my blog. A great bounce back last week for the Illini Hockey Club after getting ambushed by Central Oklahoma. Robert Morris didn;t have a chance. The club is off this weekend and has conference foe Michigan-Dearborn next week. Coach Chad Cassell can be heard every week on DWS Sportsnight.
