IlliniHQ on a roll

This is going to look like WDWS/WHMS/News-Gazette tooting it's own horn, but it looks like HQ has been exceeding expectations.
The main site has become a must-stop for those looking for Illini news and opinions, and from the radio end we've been able to podcast a lot of good interviews and information on Illini sports over the months it's been up. What I've really enjoyed is the ability to break news a lot faster and easier than in the past. When WDWS has not had the time available to go as in-depth into a story as we would like on the air, we can download a longer form interview to this site and you can get the info right there.
Adding the blogs allows all those attached to the site a chance to get their opinions out, and they may not be the same opinion. That's a good thing. It also gives you the reader the chance to give us direct feedback as well, which is usually a good thng, especially if you agree with me. (Kidding, kind of) I hope you all take advantage of this, as all of us who DO set out ideas, theories, and opinions, should be held accountable for those, especially Brian Moline (kidding again) (not really).
After a bit of a rocky start, the association with the Illiniboard has really added that extra dimension of fan participation that rounds out the site. Despite some early attacks by those with personal or professional grudges against either WDWS/WHMS or the News-Gazette, trying to break tables and discourage posters, the board has held up very well. John B has kept a level head and an upright ship. The disgruntled and "disenfranchised" have left and many new contributors have come in.
It is truly a new era for Illini sports coverage.
