Illini baseball looking good

Folks, hopefully you've got the Illini baseball team on your schedule for this weekend as they will be playing Ohio State for what could be the regular season Big ten championship at home.
Taking the ridiculous umpiring call that hampered the recent loss to Evansville into account, and a couple of bad losses to Louisville by the Buckeyes, this may also be a sort of either/or series for an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, with both teams ranked this week.
The pitching has been very very good, and very importantly, deep. Hitting has come around, though they've left quite a few men on base the last couple of games.
One thing that needs to happen for Illinois to keep their lofty standing is keeping mistakes to a minimum. That means no fielding or mental errors, not walking .200 hitters, and hitting in key situations. The Illini are not excellent in any one area, but they are very good in most areas, and that plus consistency will get them a Big Ten championship.
