Liver Cancer Benefit for Brittny Higgins and her family at The Moose Lodge, 12414 U.S. 150, Oakwood. $5 cover charge. Live music by Rawk Hard and Texas Jack. On July 17, Brittny Higgins was diagnosed with a rare liver cancer "Fibrolamellar Hepatocellar" just 17 days after giving birth to her first child Madilynne. Brittny had 20 percent of her liver removed on Sept. 9, along with her gallbladder and Lymph-Node. When the pathology results came back, the cancer had invaded the Lymph-Node. Her Oncologist has made the family aware that this is am extremely rare form of cancer with no treatment options such as chemo or radiation. The only option is to immediately surgically remove any cancer that shows up. We are seeking donations to help Brittny and her new family towards the growing cost of medical bills, transportation and any other unexpected expenses that occur during this difficult time.
