| Rules on letters to the editor: |
- Priority is given to letters offering fresh perspectives and to letters
that conform to length and format expectations. All letters are subject
to editing.
- A letter should be typewritten and should not exceed 250 words.
- Letters must be signed and must include the writer's address and telephone
number in case it is necessary to contact the author for information and
clarification.
- Anonymous letters will not be printed.
- The News-Gazette does not routinely publish poetry or thank-you letters
but may carry a thank-you message if the author is unable to contact the
benefactors in any other way.
- References to other people should include their first and last names.

To send a letter to the editor:
1. Read the guidelines above.
2. Fill in the following form. You must include your
name, address and telephone number.
You can also submit a letter to the editor by e-mailing letters@news-gazette.com, but all of the information required below should be included in your e-mail, including name, address and phone number.
The News-Gazette will not publish
anonymous letters.
