Rantoul resident fleeing police dies in crash
PAXTON – A Rantoul man was killed in a car crash near Paxton late Wednesday after he fled from police.
Ford County Coroner Douglas Wallace said Michael J. Taylor, 50, of the 200 block of West Sangamon Avenue, was pronounced dead at 11:55 p.m. at the scene of the crash on Ford County Road 1800 E near Ford County Road 200 N. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
