Coroner: Medicine overdose killed musician Bennett

URBANA – Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup reported Tuesday that the late rock musician Jay Bennett died from an overdose of pain medication.

Mr. Bennett, 45, of Urbana, was found in his bed on May 24 and was pronounced dead later at Carle Foundation Hospital.
