UI's flash index on rise again
CHAMPAIGN – The University of Illinois flash index of economic growth rose to 106.5 in January, indicating the Illinois economy is strong and healthy.
"Despite concerns about a slowing national economy, Illinois' economy continues to move along briskly with no end in sight," said J. Fred Giertz, the UI economist who compiles the index.
