Appeals court affirms tossing lawyer's case
CHICAGO – A Thomasboro attorney has been thwarted in his latest effort to win money from the city of Champaign over what he believed was the violation of his rights in connection with his 2001 arrest for public indecency.
In a ruling issued Wednesday, the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago affirmed a lower federal court judge's dismissal of Brian Sides' complaint against two Champaign city attorneys and three of its police officers.
