Area law enforcement agencies given grants

SPRINGFIELD – Area law enforcement agencies will be able to buy new in-car computer systems thanks to a federal grant program.

The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority distributed the funding on a first-come, first-served basis, handing out $800,000 in central Illinois.
