Illinois American Water plans three public meetings
URBANA – Illinois American Water Co. will hold three public meetings in the next several days to answer questions about its request for a 60 percent water rate increase and its new water treatment plant west of Champaign.
The meetings "are set up to help our customers learn more about the water treatment plant, the significance of the project, what it does, why it's important," said Barry Suits, network operations manager for Illinois American Water.
