Officers issue warning about lost service pistol
CHAMPAIGN – A loaded handgun belonging to an Urbana police officer has been lost, and might be in an area near Champaign's Barkstall Elementary School, police said Saturday.
Police are urging parents to warn their children to avoid touching the gun if they find it, and to tell an adult immediately.
