288 speeding tickets given during April crackdown
CHAMPAIGN – A traffic crackdown by Champaign police in April resulted in speeding tickets for 288 drivers.
Sgt. Dave Griffet, who supervises a traffic enforcement program through a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation, said Champaign officers issued a total of 317 citations last month.
