Deere planning a center at UI's research park
CHAMPAIGN – John Deere & Co. plans to spend $1 million to create a John Deere Technology Innovation Center in the University of Illinois Research Park, the company announced Tuesday.
The center will tap the knowledge of UI faculty and students in agriculture, business, engineering and information technology. Its goal is to help Deere use advanced electronics, mechatronics, advanced sensors and control-systems technology in its products.
