Deputies encounter teens with air guns
CHAMPAIGN – For the second time in two days, Champaign County sheriff's deputies encountered teenage males with toy air guns that look like real guns while investigating a crime.
Sgt. Dan Coile said a volunteer Eastern Prairie firefighter reported seeing young men about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday atop the old Staley elevator at 417 Wilbur Ave. in the Wilbur Heights subdivision in north Champaign.
