Outage briefly knocks UI's computer network for loop
URBANA – Computer services were interrupted Monday morning at the University of Illinois after a power fluctuation put the network on backup and the Digital Computing Lab turned off some of its machines to save electricity.
By mid-afternoon, most services were restored, and a UI official was confident things would stay that way – barring another fluctuation in power.
