Workers investigate white powder in Rantoul postal box
RANTOUL – Emergency workers are investigating a white powder found in a blue U.S. Post Office drop box in Rantoul, at the intersection of Frost Avenue and Abram Drive.
The Champaign Fire Department hazardous materials team and Rantoul police and fire departments are investigating. Combined, there were almost 20 officers on the scene late Tuesday afternoon. They cordoned off a two-block area near the postal box.
