Villa Grove man killed after cigarette ignites oxygen tank

VILLA GROVE – A Villa Grove man died early Tuesday morning after an explosion at his home.

Ronald Hooker, 65, was pronounced dead at 2:40 a.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, according to a news release from Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup.
