Most see DACC's planned tuition increase as inevitable
DANVILLE – Brittany Chrostowski had hoped to take two classes at Danville Area Community College this summer, but she said a probable $5-per-credit-hour tuition increase likely will keep her from doing that.
"My parents already told me we can't afford it," the Westville resident said, adding she will try to find a job to help pay for school instead.
"I'm not in a hurry to finish," said Chrostowski, who hopes to earn an associate degree in special education in December. "But I wanted to take math this summer, so I could really concentrate on it. I'll just have to push it off until the fall."
Other students said they don't like the idea of a tuition hike, but they think it's inevitable.
