Man charged with firing gun in Urbana neighborhood

URBANA – An Urbana man charged with firing a gun in a residential neighborhood Wednesday is due back in court in July.

Tarell Pettis , 29, of the 2400 block of Prairie Green, was charged Thursday in Champaign County Circuit Court  with unlawful use of weapons by a felon and reckless discharge of a firearm after being arrested Wednesday for firing a gun into a car in the 2400 block of Prairie Green about 1 a.m. Wednesday.
