Second mistrial declared in Granville Johnson murder case

URBANA – Dorris Moore sat alone on a bench outside a Champaign County courtroom Thursday morning as a lawyer inside tried to convince a jury that Granville Johnson did not kill her son.

The mother of 14 was thinking of her youngest – a daughter in Indianapolis having a Caesarean section. Excited at the prospect of a new grandchild, she felt she had to be at the courthouse instead.
