Trees were sacrificed to make way for store

Just prior to Meijer coming to Urbana (Tree City USA), the city removed a large series of trees on Philo Road adjacent to the new Meijer site. Over this weekend, the Meijer people managed to remove a grove of large pine trees from their site. All we now have is bland, flat prairie. Thank you Meijer.
