Anti-evolution crowd hoodwinked writer

Friday August 15, 2008

I'm glad that Dee Mulligan (July 28 letter) enjoys the letters on evolution and creationism. It's too bad, though, that she has been hoodwinked by the anti-evolution crowd.

Evolution could be falsified by hundreds of facts about the natural world if creation and a flood had actually happened, but the facts just aren't there. If fossils are the remains of plants and animals that died in the flood, why aren't they all mixed up rather than being neatly arranged in order from simple to complex? And if God destroyed a wicked mankind except for Noah and his family, why aren't human skeletons found among other fossils? People may have been able to run to high ground, but what about their possessions? None of these are found anywhere in the fossil record.
