Comic movie affront to most vulnerable

Given the star-studded lineup of actors, "Tropic Thunder" is a movie that without a doubt will be humorous. I am disappointed that the movie repeatedly demeans, insults and makes fun of people with intellectual disabilities.

I will be the first to admit that I greatly enjoy slapstick humor, and I am not offended by comments that poke fun at my ethnicity, race, or idiosyncratic behaviors. Where I draw the line is when the people who are the butt of jokes and derogatory comments have trouble standing up for themselves. This is the case with "Tropic Thunder."
