Bush-hating demagogues once more resort to false moral equivalences by equating Russia's unilateral invasion of Georgia with Iraq.

Unlike Russia, America had dozens of allies operating under 17 United Nations resolutions which, after a transparent six months of build-up and negotiations, unseated a cruel dictator who had twice invaded neighboring states, was responsible for the deaths of at least 2 million people and callously violated the 1991 Gulf War peace terms by firing upon American and Coalition aircraft.
