Prosecutor: Smith told police he drank three beers
URBANA – University of Illinois basketball player Jamar Smith told police he drank three beers when he was arrested last weekend, a prosecutor said in court Wednesday. But Smith's lawyer denied the accusation on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the Champaign County state's attorney's office filed a petition to revoke Smith's probation and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
