Champaign County sheriff's Lt. Ed Ogle compares a recently seized toy gun, top, with a real firearm Wednesday at the sheriff's office in Urbana.

URBANA – Champaign County sheriff's Lt. Ed Ogle held the two black .45-caliber handguns side by side.

The difference is major, though.

One is a real Sig Sauer pistol designed to inflict serious injury or death. The other is a toy air gun designed to entertain with the firing of tiny plastic pellets.
