Prof is interim dean of College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

CHICAGO – A University of Illinois physiology professor will be interim dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences until a successor is chosen for Sarah Mangelsdorf.
Philip Best, who is also an associate dean in the college, was named interim dean Thursday during a conference call vote by the UI Board of Trustees' executive committee, which consists of board Chairman Lawrence Eppley and trustees Kenneth Schmidt and Niranjan Shah.
